Matt Daugherty

Matt Daugherty is an accomplished mobile engineer with extensive experience in iOS development and engineering leadership roles. Currently serving as a Staff Mobile Engineer at The Wanderlust Group since March 2023, Matt focuses on modernizing an eight-year-old iOS app by addressing threading, performance issues, and rewriting networking code. Previously, as the Principal Engineer, Mobile at Brightline, Matt established a mobile development practice and designed the company's first iOS app, while also integrating compliance measures. Matt also held roles at AllTrails, where significant contributions included leading technical design and overseeing the successful rewrite of their iOS app, as well as at UniRush, where the development of the RushCard app was pivotal. Matt's career includes earlier positions as an iOS developer at various organizations and a strong foundation in .NET development from roles prior to focusing solely on mobile. Matt earned an Associate degree in Computer Programming from the University of Cincinnati.
