Dr. Manfred Zurkirch

Dr. Manfred Zurkirch is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategic and operational leadership across various companies in the technology and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at THIELMANN - The Container Company since November 2020, Zurkirch previously held the position of Group CEO at Ferag AG, where responsibilities included implementing a turnaround plan, international sales activity, and management restructuring. Prior roles include CEO at PackSys Global AG, where significant international customer engagement and multiple acquisitions were managed; CEO and Board Member at Dividella AG, focusing on sales and strategy in major markets; and a series of roles at Oerlikon that encompassed product management and business development in the data storage division. Zurkirch’s education includes advanced degrees from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, IMD, and INSEAD, along with a PhD in Applied Physics from ETH Zürich.
