Trevor Cotter has worked in the medical device industry since 2010. In 2014, they began working as a Test Engineer at Medical Device Testing Services and a Research and Development Engineer at St. Jude Medical. In 2016, they became a Master's Student, Graduate Research Associate, and Teaching Assistant at Northern Arizona University and a Test Engineering Consultant at Medical Device Testing Services. In 2017, they were the Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Aneuvas Technologies, Inc. In 2018, they were a Doctoral Student and Graduate Research Assistant at McGill University. In 2019, they were the Co-Founder of BioOptic. In 2022, they became a Senior Clinical Research Engineer at THINK Surgical and an Engineer and Project Manager at MeeraMED.
Trevor Cotter earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2014. Trevor then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Physics from Northern Arizona University, which they completed in 2018. Currently, Trevor is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at McGill University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
