David Smith

David Smith is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in strategy and development. As the Founder of Third Horizon Strategies since March 2018 and currently serving as Podcast Host for Cost of Care, David has demonstrated a strong commitment to health care transformation. Prior experience includes leading Medicaid transformation initiatives at AVIA and holding key roles at Leavitt Partners as Chief Development Officer and Partner & Director of Payer Services. David has also contributed to Utah Valley University as a Coordinator, producing record numbers of graduates, and began their career at Best Buy Co, achieving significant operational and sales improvements. David holds a Master's degree in Statistics, Econometrics from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance & Banking from Utah Valley University.
