Arnav Mehta

Arnav Mehta joined TRV as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in 2022 with a passion for building innovative companies to improve patient outcomes in oncology. He is a mathematician, immunologist and cancer biologist by training, and is currently a gastrointestinal oncologist at the MGH Cancer Center and a researcher at the Broad Institute, where he uses single-cell methods, functional genomics and patient-derived model systems to study tumor immunology and tumor cell plasticity. Prior to his current roles, Arnav went to medical school at UCLA and did his PhD at Caltech. He subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at MGH and his hematology/oncology fellowship at MGH and DFCI. At TRV, prior to his role as an EIR, Arnav helped to build Abata Therapeutics and Asher Biotherapeutics.

Arnav lives in the Boston area with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places with his family, training for triathlons, playing soccer and cheering on the Duke basketball team.
