Scott Michaels

Scott Michaels is an experienced software engineer with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the APS Software Lead at TMT Observatory Corporation since November 2005, Scott leads software design initiatives for the Thirty Meter Telescope Alignment and Phasing System, successfully completing numerous formal software design reviews. Prior to this role, Scott worked at IBM from February 2006 to March 2014 as a Senior Software Engineer and contributed to Viacore Inc. as a Software Engineer from 2000 to 2006. Scott earned a degree from UC Irvine between 1987 and 1991.
