Adam Thompson

Adam Thompson has a diverse work experience in procurement, starting with their current role as Head of Procurement at THIS. Prior to that, they worked at Lavazza Professional as the European Strategic Sourcing Manager, where they were responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for packaging, ingredients, and machine components. Adam also led a team of 6 and collaborated with key stakeholders. Before Lavazza Professional, Adam worked at Mars Drinks as the European Strategic Sourcing Manager and Global Strategic Sourcing Manager, focusing on packaging and technology. Adam led a team of 6 and managed a spend of approximately $50m. Adam's earlier experience includes roles at AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings as a Purchasing Manager for packaging and raw materials, and at Ella's Kitchen as a Procurement Manager and Operations and Procurement Executive, where they played a key role in establishing a strategic procurement function. Adam also has experience in procurement and operations at Costain, where they were responsible for materials sourcing and plant hire.

Adam Thompson attended The Mountbatten School from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained 11 GCSE's including 3 A's, 7 B's, and 1 C. Later, from 2002 to 2004, they studied at Peter Symonds College, focusing on Business Studies, Law, Environmental Science, and Economics (AS level). Finally, they completed their BSc (Hons) degree in Business Management (Logistics and Operations) from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, graduating in 2008.
