Mark Caramanica began their work experience in 2004 as a Commercial Litigation Associate at Ford Marrin Esposito Witmeyer & Gleser, LLP. In 2007, they transitioned to become an Instructor and Researcher at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. In 2010, they joined The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press as the Freedom of Information Director/Staff Attorney. Most recently, in 2013, they became a Media, Intellectual Property, and Commercial Litigation Attorney at Thomas & LoCicero PL.

Mark Caramanica's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from the University of Florida. Mark then pursued further education at the same university, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Additionally, Caramanica completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Mass Communication/Media Law at the University of Florida.
