Ben Grove

As a relentless builder of strategic networks, Ben leverages his bipartisan connections in Washington and throughout the country to connect clients to Congress, the Administration and to each other.

Ben provides strategic counsel on mission-critical legislative priorities. He focuses on distilling complicated technical issues into clear, compelling briefs that identify key decision-makers, flag relevant conflicts and uncover common ground among lawmakers and policymakers.

Though his practice spans many industry sectors, Ben most frequently engages on issues related to education, including K-12, STEM and higher education. Recently, he successfully lobbied for and secured passage of the Christa McAuliffe Commemorative Coin Act for FIRST robotics, one of the world's largest nonprofit STEM education programs for students.

Before joining Thompson Coburn, Ben served as a staffer to the House Committee on Homeland Security, where he prepared members of Congress and their staff for committee business, including hearings and legislative markups. Ben uses this experience to help his clients develop legislative strategies and navigate their path to a successful outcome.

Ben first came to Washington, DC in 2008 to serve as the executive assistant to the chairman one of the national party committees. He currently serves as President of Q Street, the professional association of nearly 3,000 LGBTQ lobbyists and public policy advocates in Washington.
