Andy McLean

Principal at TVS

Andy joined tvsdesign in 1974 with his first assignment being project manager for the first phase of the Georgia World Congress Center. The project has enjoyed enormous success and has set the standard for the modern day convention center. It also provided Andy with the inspiration for his distinguished career as a designer of premier convention centers. He has led the design of over 30 convention centers, including the most recent phase or phases of four of the five largest convention centers in the United States. He has also led the design of major convention and expo centers in China, combining design philosophies of both the North America and Asia.

He has designed projects that, most importantly, fulfill their mission as highly functional and marketable economic generators, but also serve as civic landmarks and good urban neighbors in their city and region. They not only bring new economic life to previously marginal urban zones, but serve as the nucleus for further, independent economic development in the surrounding community.
