Ivana Sekularac is the Bureau Chief for the Balkans at Thomson Reuters, a position held since January 2017. Previously, Ivana served as a correspondent focused on commodities and energy for Thomson Reuters from 2007 to 2013, where significant coverage included Kosovo's independence and related political events. Prior to that, Ivana was a reporter for The New York Times from 2001 to 2005, specializing in regional political analysis and field reporting in Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Croatia. Ivana began the journalism career at Agence France-Presse (AFP) from 1998 to 2001, managing the bureau and daily news reporting. Ivana holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on the macroeconomics of countries in transition from the University of Belgrade and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University Singidunum in Belgrade, Serbia.
