Ani Basmacioglu

Ani Basmacioglu has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Ani is currently serving as the Brand and Merchandising Director at Thorlo since April 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Manager / Buyer at Reitmans Canada Ltée/Ltd from March 2019 to January 2020. Ani also has significant experience at Gildan Apparel (formerly Doris Hosiery Mills Ltd) where they worked as a Merchandising and Marketing Manager from June 2007 to February 2019. Before that, they held the position of Merchandising and Marketing Coordinator at Doris Hosiery Mills Ltd from February 2004 to December 2006. Earlier in their career, they worked at Laura Canada as an Assistant Buyer for the Laura Plus division from July 2002 to February 2004. Ani also has experience at Nortel Networks as an Order Manager from October 2000 to June 2001, and at Future Electronics as a Team Lead, Global Solutions from January 1999 to October 2000.

Ani Basmacioglu completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance at McGill University from 1995 to 1998. Ani also holds additional certifications such as the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) and is currently pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
