Joseph Murrey

Joseph Murrey currently serves as an Advancement Officer at Thornwell since May 2022, focusing on preventing child abuse, building families, and supporting healthy communities. Prior experience includes teaching tennis at the Salvation Army Kroc Tennis Center, where Joseph coordinated lessons and developed training programs, and providing English instruction at VIPKid. Joseph has extensive coaching experience, starting from 2001, including roles as Head Coach of men’s and women’s tennis at Concordia College, where responsibilities involved coaching, recruiting, and fundraising. Joseph also worked as a Consultant with Gateway Grant Services and held a Development Officer position at Toccoa Falls College, contributing to fundraising efforts and community engagement. Educationally, Joseph holds a Master of Arts from Columbia International University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural/Multicultural and Diversity Studies from Toccoa Falls College.
