William Newell

William Newell has worked in various roles since 2012. William started as an intern at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in 2012, where they created educational material, communicated with a team and the general public during outreach events, and performed exhibit troubleshooting and maintenance. In 2013, they became the Director of the Board of Campus Activities, where they attended regional conferences to negotiate prices for over 20 performers a year for 3 years, managed the budget covering all students, performers, and supply needs for the year, and planned agendas, objectives, and advertising campaigns for the organization. In 2014, they worked as an Engineering Intern at the US Army Yuma Proving Ground, where they studied methods of quality control and prototype testing, examined safety standards for various testing regimes, and assessed and updated physical assets. William also worked as a Freelancer, where they backpacked through parts of Europe and Russia, did a meditative retreat in Costa Rica, and went on a road trip across the southern U.S. In 2016, they worked as a Cryptocurrency Trader & Web Developer at Bitcoin, as a Web Development Immersive at General Assembly, and as a Co-Producer at Falling Up Films, where they reviewed and amended contracts from pre-production through post, oversaw the PA team and assisted various departments during production, and created and maintained records for post-production editing. In 2020, they worked as a Java Software Engineer at LTI - Larsen & Toubro Infotech, and as a Java Full Stack Developer at Revature. William currently works as a Software Engineer at ThorTech Solutions.

William Newell attended Northwest Missouri State University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned an Associates in Science with a focus on Math and Science. William then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In 2016, they attended General Assembly for a course in Full Stack Web Development.
