I'm an experienced executive with a commitment to creating a culture of excellence, where empowered teams succeed. I have more than 20 years’ experience in solving complex business challenges through the innovative use of technology and a track record of putting customer value at the heart of what we do. And I believe in building an environment that encourages teams to experiment, to learn from their experiences and to be creative.

My background is software development and I’m a passionate advocate for ThoughtWorks’ core mission of software excellence and using the power of technology to improve society.

I joined ThoughtWorks in 1999 as a Programmer. I spent many years programming in various languages and helping customers develop software products. I’ve also spent time in ThoughtWorks China and helped to establish and grow the China business unit, providing services for both local and global customers.

I've been CEO since 2013, during which time the company has grown rapidly. My primary focus is to embrace our mission of delivering technology to address our clients' toughest challenges, all while seeking to revolutionize the IT industry and create positive social change.
