Michael Lawrie

Michael Lawrie has extensive experience in technology and software engineering, currently serving as Technical Principal and Head of Technology for NA Central Market at Thoughtworks since August 2013. Prior roles at Thoughtworks include Principal Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. Michael was a Partner in Development at Curriculum Studio from May 2010 to September 2013 and worked as a Frontend Developer at Bitcurve Systems from 2008 to May 2010. Earlier experience includes research on real-time collaboration tools at Ryerson University and freelance web development from 2003 to 2008. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in New Media from Ryerson University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Toronto.
