Rafiq Iqbal

Rafiq Iqbal is a seasoned professional in business development and technology consulting, currently serving as Client Partner and Principal Associate in Business Development at ThoughtWorks since April 2025. With a robust background that includes founding ING Business Professionals, focused on industrial robotics for the automotive sector, and directing European business at Realtime Robotics, Iqbal has significant expertise in automation and the automotive OEM and Tier 1 industries. Additionally, Iqbal has held a senior strategic account management role at The Qt Company, where responsibilities included business model development for open-source and IoT sectors. Iqbal's academic credentials include an MBA in International Business from the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechatronics from Fachhochschule Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven.
