Miryam Palomino

Miryam Palomino has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Miryam currently works at THREAD as a Solutions Design Lead, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to that, they were a Delivery Specialist at THREAD from August 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining THREAD, Miryam worked at UC San Diego Health as a Clinical Research Coordinator from June 2019 to July 2021. In this role, they played a crucial role in coordinating clinical research activities.

In 2018, Miryam held two positions simultaneously. Miryam worked as a Staff Research Associate at the Institute for Neural Computation Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience. In this role, they conducted experiments and maintained a research database related to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and its applications for Parkinson's disease. Miryam also worked as a Data Science Intern at Waitz, where they helped develop a predictive model for library foot traffic as part of a class project.

Miryam has also gained research experience in cognitive development and neuroscience. Miryam worked as a Research Assistant at the Cognitive Development Lab UCSD from March 2017 to February 2018, where they were involved in projects using EEG technology and data analysis. Miryam also worked as a Research Assistant at the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab UCSD from November 2014 to 2016, where they gained expertise in EEG analysis, research design, and subject recruitment.

Additionally, Miryam worked as a Grader at the UCSD Cognitive Science Department from September 2017 to December 2017, assisting with student assignments and exams.

Throughout their career, Miryam has presented their research at various conferences and events, including the Halicioglu Data Science Institute Inauguration event, SACNAS, ABRCMS, and the Society for Neuroscience conference.
