Sohan Jain

Sohan Jain has worked in various software engineering roles since 2010. Sohan began their career as a Software Developer Intern at Hulu, where they worked on data processing workflows and data warehouse using Hadoop and HBase. In 2011, they interned at Facebook, where they worked on the Data Infrastructure team and helped develop Hive. Later that year, they became the Lead Organizer for 3 Day Startup Cornell, where they led a team of 10 undergrads and built a network of mentors, investors, and experts in the community surrounding Cornell. In 2012, they co-founded and became CTO of wireLawyer, a professional network for lawyers, and was part of the Dreamit Ventures NYC Summer '13 class. Sohan also worked as a Software Engineer at Moat, where they built out a content classification system and led their Ithaca office. That same year, they also worked as a Software Engineer Contractor at Localytics. In 2014, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Twitter, where they were Tech Lead on Semantic Core, building Twitter's knowledge graph and tweet classification platform. In 2018, they became the Head of Engineering at Threads.

Sohan Jain attended Cornell University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
