Angela May Chen

Angela May Chen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Angela May is currently working at thredUP as a Design Lead since January 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Designer at thredUP from April 2017 to January 2022. Before joining thredUP, Angela worked at Teak SF as a Designer from December 2014 to April 2017. Angela May also gained experience as a Communications Designer at Chronicle Books from May 2013 to December 2014. Angela's journey in the field of design started with freelance work as a Designer at The Bold Italic from May 2013 to December 2014, where they later transitioned into a Design Intern role from September 2012 to May 2013. Additionally, they have experience as an After School Program Manager at Mason Pilot Elementary School from September 2008 to May 2012 and worked as a Reporter at SF Appeal: San Francisco's Online Newspaper from May 2010 to August 2010.

Angela May Chen obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Boston University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
