Kylie Johnson

Kylie Johnson is the VP of Product for Resale-as-a-Service at thredUP. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at GENERAL DYNAMICS, AIS from December 2004 to December 2010. In this role, they carried out software and systems engineering for global technology contractor servicing government and military organizations. Kylie also performed system design, requirements gathering, and software development for classified and unclassified projects. Additionally, Kylie supervised software engineers on projects ranging from $100,000 to several million dollars. Furthermore, they supported business development efforts by creating and leading presentations and demonstrations. Kylie has also promoted capabilities and technologies to customers and held a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Some of their notable sales and business support accomplishments include facilitating millions of dollars in business growth by representing company at trade shows to promote Computer Network Defense system that offers enhanced cyber security for organizations. Kylie was also frequently selected as liaison to ‘difficult’ clients, based on their superior communication skills. Additionally, they were chosen to conduct system training for customer end users and maintenance personnel. Kylie has also earned an Excellence Award for their technical performance and superior customer/vendor relationships. Lastly, they have enabled additional contracts with customers by creating well-respected test procedures.

As for their technology accomplishments, Kylie has designed, implemented, and tested software for satellite communication ground system. This includes code reviews as well as integrating subsystems and carrying out debugging. Kylie has also programmed, tested, repaired, and implemented software for Computer Network Defense system. Furthermore, they have improved computer and communications capabilities for customers by providing upgrades. Lastly, Kylie has investigated and resolved critical technical and performance issues, including crashes, faulty equipment, hardware-software communications, and visual interface problems.

Kylie Johnson has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from UC Santa Barbara with an emphasis in digital signal processing and telecommunications. Kylie also has coursework in Object Oriented Design, C++, and Java from University of California, Berkeley Extension.
