Director Of Design at Thrive Home Builders

Eric Sung has a diverse work experience in the architecture and construction industry. Eric started their career as a Project Manager at Del D. Stiegemeier, Architect in 1998, where they were responsible for managing various project phases, researching codes and zoning requirements, and working on a range of projects from custom homes to commercial buildings. In 2005, they joined Village Homes of Colorado as a Job Captain before moving on to Thrive Home Builders, where they held multiple roles such as Product Development Manager, Director of Product Development, and Director of Design. Additionally, in 2013, they founded their own drafting and design company called Hang Your Hat - Design and Drafting.

Eric Sung has a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from the University of Colorado Denver, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Eric also has a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree with a focus on architecture from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they hold an Associate in Computer Aided Design (CAD) degree from Denver Technical College / DeVry, obtained from 1997 to 1998. Eric Sung has several certifications, including HERS Associate from RESNET (obtained in 2019), Basic Photovoltaics Class from Thames Solar Electric (obtained in 2009), Green Building Certificate from Colorado State University (obtained in 2008), Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) from the National Association of Home Builders, and EEBA High Performance Builders from the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA).
