Brian Whitehead

Brian Whitehead has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Brian is currently working as the Lead Instructor at ThriveDX (formerly HackerU) since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal System Engineer at Lever from April 2022 to November 2023. Brian also served as an IT Cloud Engineer Sr. Staff at Juniper Networks from August 2021 to April 2022. Brian has extensive experience in Linux Enterprise System Engineering, having worked as a Linux Enterprise System Engineer at Rackspace Technology from June 2014 to August 2021 and as a Linux Engineer at Insight Global for a brief period in May 2014. Previously, they held positions such as Manager of Server and Storage Operations/Senior System Engineer IV at Interstate Batteries from January 2010 to April 2014, Senior Systems Administrator/Consultant at SAIC from June 2009 to January 2010, Principal Consultant at Sogeti from February 2009 to June 2009, Solaris/RedHat Engineer III at Business Control Systems from January 2006 to January 2009, and Sr. Systems Administrator at Texas Instruments from January 2006 to January 2009.

Brian Whitehead has a diverse education history in the field of computer science. Brian attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1995 to 1997, the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2000 to 2001, and the University of Central Missouri from 1997 to 2000. Additionally, they studied Criminal Justice at Collin College from 1991 to 1993. Brian has also obtained multiple certifications, including those in AWS solutions architecture, Linux, ITIL Foundation, and Red Hat Administration.
