Jairo Gomez

Jairo Gomez has a diverse background in various industries, with notable work experience spanning over 17 years. Jairo currently serves as the Director of Operations Success at ThriveDX (formerly HackerU) since September 2021.

Prior to their current role, Jairo worked at ACAMS, where they held several senior managerial positions. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Sr. Manager - Technology & Infrastructure, overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure roadmap implementation, ITIL, and change management. As the Senior Manager of Operations | Senior Advisor (2018-2020), Jairo led the operations team in improving systems and processes and implementing corporate governance controls. From 2012 to 2018, they held the position of Sr. Manager - Continuous Improvement & Analytics, leading BI and analytics teams and driving global continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.

Before their time at ACAMS, Jairo worked as the Project Sales Group Manager at American Medical Depot (AMD Solutions) (2009-2012). Jairo successfully managed full-scale medical equipment procurement and distribution projects, implemented a quality management system, and streamlined business practices.

Jairo's career began at GAS NATURAL COMPRIMIDO DE COLOMBIA, where they served as the Operations Manager from 2004 to 2008. In this role, they developed monitoring plans, implemented training programs, and managed day-to-day operations at two CNG stations.

In 2008, Jairo briefly worked at Florida International University as the Project Leader - University Consortium, where they conducted market analysis and business practices benchmarking for the formation of a consortium.

Jairo Gomez completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Florida International University in the years 2007-2009. Jairo also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Norte in the years 2004-2007. In addition, Jairo earned a Certificate in ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor from Florida International University and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Acuity Institute, both in the year 2012. Lastly, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from CEUPE Centro Europeo de Postgrado in the year 2017-2018.
