Balasubramanian (Bala) Sankaranarayanan has extensive work experience in leadership positions in various companies. Balasubramanian (Bala) co-founded and served as the CEO of Thryve Digital Health LLP, where they established a successful GCC Unit for a large US-based healthcare conglomerate. Balasubramanian (Bala) was responsible for operations, organization development, and outreach initiatives.

Bala also worked as a Partner and Board Member at Spoonfeed, a private investment vehicle focused on early-stage investments in Indian startups. Balasubramanian (Bala) positioned Spoonfeed as an advisor and consultant to the startup ecosystem in India, making strategic investments and providing guidance in technology and finance.

Before that, Bala was the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Manufacturing, Retail, and Transportation (Consulting & SI) at Atos. Balasubramanian (Bala) was accountable for revenue, profitability, and operational excellence in delivering consulting and system integration services to Fortune-500 organizations in multiple industry sectors.

Bala's work experience also includes roles at Drug Information Association, where they served as a Board Member in the Advisory Council of India, and at GENPACT LLC, where they led the Healthcare & Life Sciences Smart Decision Services business unit.

Prior to that, Bala held various leadership positions at Cognizant, including Head of Life Sciences for APAC, EU, and Domain Delivery, Head of Life Sciences BPO and Mumbai Ops, Lead of the Domain Consulting Group, Account Manager & Client Partner, and Associate in Process Engineering and QA. Balasubramanian (Bala) played a key role in diversifying revenue and acquiring strategic customers in the APAC region and successfully incubating BPS offerings within Cognizant.

Throughout their career, Bala has demonstrated expertise in healthcare, life sciences, consulting, and strategic leadership, resulting in successful business growth and operational excellence in various organizations.

Bala Sankaranarayanan completed their education with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Madras in 1993. In 2004, they pursued a Leadership / Management Course from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, focusing on General Management with a leaning towards Software Management. Following that, they obtained an MBA in Finance from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2005. Recently, in 2023, Bala attended Harvard Business School for the Managing Healthcare Delivery program, specializing in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Additionally, they hold certifications as an Agile Scrum Master and a LEAN Six Sigma Master Black Belt, with a focus on USFDA regulatory affairs consulting obtained from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
