Ægir Örn Leifsson

Ægir Örn Leifsson has a strong background in product management and software development, primarily in the healthcare sector. Ægir Örn started their career at TM Software in 1999, where they worked as a Senior Product Manager for eight years. During this time, they focused on software analysis, design, and systems integration. Ægir Örn was then employed at Theriak as a Senior Product Manager from 2008 to 2011, where they worked on bespoke development projects for the Norwegian healthcare market. Their main projects involved the analysis, design, and development of medication logistics and prescription systems. In 2011, Ægir co-founded Þula ehf and assumed the role of Development Manager. Ægir Örn also served as the Chairman of the Board. At Þula ehf, they primarily focused on consulting work for the Norwegian Ministry of Health, particularly on the eResept project. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Advisor at CIS Theriak for a brief period in 2011.

Ægir Örn Leifsson's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Menntaskólinn á Akureyri and earned a Matriculation examination degree with a focus on Nature studies. Ægir Örn then went on to attend the University of Skövde from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering. Continuing their education at the same institution, Ægir Örn Leifsson completed their studies with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Skövde in 1999.
