Health Promotion Planner at Thunder Bay District Health Unit

Mahnoor Gohar is an experienced health promotion professional currently serving as a Health Promotion Planner at Thunder Bay District Health Unit since April 2020. Prior roles include Regional Programs Administrator at South Riverdale Community Health Centre and Community Health Promoter at North Bay Parry. In addition, Mahnoor has internship experience with Makerere University-Johns Hopkins University Research Collaboration and held a Project Manager position for a Community Engagement Project at Western University. Mahnoor has also contributed as an Athletic Office Tutor at the University of Waterloo and served as a Geriatric Outreach Junior Program Associate at St. Joseph's Health Centre Guelph. Research initiatives include collaboration with McMaster University focused on senior healthcare experiences and a project identifying mobility options for seniors with Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services. Mahnoor holds a Master’s degree candidate in Management of Applied Science from Western University and a Bachelor's degree in Honours Science with a Psychology minor from the University of Waterloo.
