Karen Walker

Associate Director, Research Development at Thunderbird

Karen Walker has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Karen began their career as a Scientist at Roche Molecular Systems in 1991, where they contributed to the development of forensic PCR-based assays. Karen later became a Project Leader and Principal Scientist in charge of coordinating various groups for developing DNA-based identification assays. During their time at Roche, they also designed oligonucleotide primers and probes for PCR-based diagnostic assays and supervised lab personnel.

In 2006, Karen worked as a Research Associate IV at Ribomed Biotechnologies, followed by a position as a Senior Research Associate at TGEN in 2007.
