Lesego Mataboge

Lesego Mataboge is the Executive Head of Human Resources at Thungela since June 2021, previously serving as the Head of Human Resources at Anglo American Coal SA from November 2018 to June 2021. Prior experience includes over 17 years at Kumba Iron Ore, where Lesego held positions such as Head of Talent Management and Learning, Manager of Human Resources, and Manager of Employee Relations. Responsibilities encompassed strategic talent management, leadership development, labor relations, and advising on HR strategies aligned with business goals. Lesego holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town.
