Josue Fredes

Josue Fredes serves as the Head of Data Science at Tiaxa since August 2018, leading a team that oversees data science initiatives for a diverse range of local and international clients across multiple industries, including mining, telecommunications, banking, and fintech. In addition to this role, Josue has been a Senior Data Scientist and Data Science Instructor at Desafío Latam since March 2019, teaching programming with Python as part of the CORFO's Capital Humano Scholarship. Previous experience includes positions as a Data Scientist at everis Chile, a Research Engineer at the Speech Processing and Transmission Lab at Universidad de Chile, and a Project Engineer at Manufacturing Technology Solutions S.A. Josue began career as a Software Engineer at Inside BTS, contributing to the development of a 3D triangulation system. Academically, Josue holds a Master of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning and Speech Processing, as well as a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Chile.
