What does the job look like?

The Senior Compliance Officer will have the opportunity to:

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

• Prepare and submit required reports to CySEC on a timely basis.

• Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.

• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Identify and address compliance issues proactively.

• Maintain records of audits, investigations, and compliance activities.

• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.

• Ensure that employees are aware of and understand compliance policies and procedures.

• Identify potential areas of compliance risk and develop mitigation strategies.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate controls.

• Monitor and report on compliance risks to the Head of Compliance & AML.

• Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.

• Oversee investigations into potential compliance breaches.

• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address compliance deficiencies.

• Maintain comprehensive and organized compliance documentation.

What will you need to be able to do the job?

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• CySEC Advanced Certificate is a must.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance within the financial services industry.

• In-depth knowledge of CySEC regulatory/reporting requirements and compliance best practices.

• Strong analytical, multitasking and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of integrity and ethical standards to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with decision-making capabilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance-related software.

• Detail-oriented and highly organised.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
