Rosen Tsekov

Rosen Tsekov has had a diverse career in data science and actuarial roles. Rosen began their career as a Junior Actuary at Interamerican Bulgaria Life Insurance in 2011 and worked in that role until 2013. In 2014, they joined Groupama Bulgaria as an Actuary and stayed there until 2015. Rosen then moved to DZI Insurance, KBC Group as an Actuary for a brief period before returning to Groupama Bulgaria in 2015. At Groupama Bulgaria, they worked as a Senior Actuary until 2020 and then transitioned to the role of Data Science and BI Expert until 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Data Scientist at Tide.

Rosen Tsekov holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the same university, completing it from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Rosen obtained the CCNA certification from Cisco in July 2009. Rosen also holds several certifications from the Society of Actuaries, including VEE Corporate Finance and VEE Economics obtained in July 2016, Financial Mathematics (EXAMFM) obtained in April 2014, and Probabilities (EXAMP) obtained in September 2013. Most recently, they obtained the Academy Accreditation for Databricks Lakehouse Platform Essentials from Databricks in October 2021.
