Dylan (Krishna) Mahalingam has an extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at iRobot, where they developed functionality and user interface for Android applications and automated tests for robotic systems. In 2015, they interned as an Electrical Engineering Intern at BAE Systems, where they developed algorithms and integrated Python and C++ for a single application. From 2014 to 2015, Dylan also served as the Founder & Principal Consultant and later as the Founder & Executive Director at Lil' MDGs, where they provided vision, leadership, and direction to the organization and built collaborations and relationships with donors and grant recipients.
Dylan (Krishna) then worked as a Student Assistant in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they held office hours, graded assignments, and provided support to students. In 2016, Dylan interned as a Summer Research Program Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they worked on computer setup, developed test plans, and used GNU Radio for software-defined radio receivers.
From 2017 to 2021, Dylan worked as a Software Engineer at MITRE, where they created models, views, and controllers for Ruby on Rails web applications, developed tests for SMART-on-FHIR specifications, and worked with OAuth 2.
In 2021, they joined PathAI as a Software Engineer and worked until 2022. Then, in 2022, Dylan became a Senior Software Engineer at Tidelift.
Throughout their career, Dylan also had diverse experiences outside of the technology field. Dylan (Krishna) worked as a Photographer at MAHAL Photos, specializing in wedding and fine art photography. Dylan (Krishna) also served as the Chief Strategist at Under the Acacia, where they developed a solar-powered Internet kiosk and implemented various sustainable initiatives in remote communities in Kenya, procuring grants for initiatives related to schools, water, sanitation, and healthcare.
Dylan (Krishna) Mahalingam obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Prior to attending university, they completed their high school education at Pinkerton Academy from 2009 to 2013, where they graduated as the Valedictorian and earned their High School Diploma.
