Mary Jane Morifi

Mary-Jane Morifi has a strong background in corporate affairs and sustainability. Mary-Jane began their career at BP in 2002, where they served as the Director of Internal Audit. In this role, they oversaw a global team and worked with various countries including the USA, China, India, Germany, and South Africa. In 2007, they joined Anglo Platinum as the Executive Head of Corporate Affairs, holding this position until 2013. Mary-Jane then transitioned to Anglo American Platinum, where they continued their work in corporate affairs until joining Tiger Brands in 2016 as the Chief Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer.

Mary-Jane Morifi attended Harvard University from 1986 to 1987 as a Harvard/South Africa Fellow in the School of Arts and Sciences. Prior to that, they obtained a B Social Science (Honours) in Sociology specializing in Rural Sociology from the University of Cape Town in 1985. Mary-Jane also completed a Bachelor of Social Science degree with a major in Sociology, Philosophy, and Political Studies from the same university between 1982 and 1984.
