Chetan Velivela

Chetan Velivela is currently the Global Leader of AI Solutions at TikTok, where responsibilities include managing teams focused on AI-driven monetization and content understanding since March 2023. Prior to this role, Chetan served as the ML Leader for North America, leading initiatives on content understanding and AI development. Previous experience includes consulting at Discord, founding Advisar AI with a focus on automating decision-making through machine learning, and working as a Sr. Data Scientist at Capital One, where Chetan developed operational machine learning models for fraud prevention. Additional research roles were held at Cornell Data Science, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Cornell University, contributing to projects in natural language processing and scientific computing. Chetan holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Cornell University.
