Yannis Roussos has over 15 years of professional experience in the software engineering and product management fields. In 2022, they began working as a Staff Product Manager at Timescale. From 2018 to 2022, they worked at GitLab as a Senior Product Manager for the Application Performance and Database Groups, Senior Backend Engineer for the Database and Sharding Groups, Senior Backend Engineer for the Database Group, and Senior Backend Engineer for Meltano. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as the Chief Software Architect in the FinTech Sector. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Software and Systems Architect at MAVATAR TECHNOLOGIES INC. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Software Architect at Innuere Labs. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Software Architect at Icon Platforms. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Senior Software Architect at the Hellenic Navy. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as an IT Consultant at the Hellenic Ministry of Development. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a freelance Software Engineer.

Yannis Roussos received their Ph.D. in Data Management from the Knowledge and Data Base Systems Laboratory, NTUA in 2010. Yannis received their Diploma (MEng) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2003. Yannis also attended Lycée Léonin - Patission from 1985 to 1997.
