Nicolás Waissbluth has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Nicolás started their career in 2012 as an Android Developer at Read Create Share (RCS). In 2012, they also co-founded Mapdwell, where they served as the CTO and played a hands-on role in developing and maintaining web apps, databases, data visualization, algorithms, data pipelines, machine learning models, and APIs. Mapdwell is a clean-tech MIT spinoff that provides advanced tools for energy decision-making and rooftop solar mapping.
In 2016, Nicolás joined MoDe Studio as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2021. Nicolás then moved on to Palmetto, where they held the position of VP of Engineering, Energy Intelligence (Mapdwell). In this role, they led an engineering team and focused on integrating Mapdwell systems with Palmetto after the acquisition. Nicolás also championed various initiatives related to CI/CD, incident response, compliance, and recruiting. Additionally, they collaborated on data science research using machine learning for energy modeling.
Currently, Nicolás Waissbluth works as a Staff Software Engineer at Tines, starting from June 2023.
Nicolás Waissbluth completed their undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from 2010 to 2015. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, which they obtained from the same institution between 2014 and 2016.
