Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Developer to join Tjekvik.
The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and proficiency in BI tools.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand business objectives, reporting and analytics requirements.
Design and develop scalable and efficient business intelligence solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.
Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Assist in data visualization to present insights in a clear and meaningful way.
Communicate findings to stakeholders.
Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Conduct database queries to extract relevant information for analysis.
Optimize and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure performance and data accuracy.
Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and report specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and analysis processes.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of BI tools.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in Cognos BI tool
Knowledge of other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Proficient in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and transformation.
Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of Ruby and RoR
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices is a plus.
