Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Developer to join Tjekvik.

The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and proficiency in BI tools.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand business objectives, reporting and analytics requirements.

• Design and develop scalable and efficient business intelligence solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.

• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.

• Assist in data visualization to present insights in a clear and meaningful way.

• Communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.

• Conduct database queries to extract relevant information for analysis.

• Optimize and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure performance and data accuracy.

• Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and report specifications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and analysis processes.

• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics.

• Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of BI tools.

• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role.

• Proficiency in Cognos BI tool

• Knowledge of other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Detail-oriented and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team.

• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

• Proficient in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and transformation.

• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Knowledge of Ruby and RoR

• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices is a plus.
