Iris Cecilia Kalien

Iris Cecilia Kalien is currently a TNO Trainee - Scientist Innovator at TNO since September 2023. Iris co-founded We Tutor Club in January 2021, an online platform dedicated to providing tutoring services for primary school students and supporting their schoolwork and Dutch language skills. Since June 2018, Iris has worked as a hospitality freelancer at Temper, performing various roles including waitress, barista, and hostess. In 2021, Iris was a student intern at ICFO, where the focus was on developing a Kalman Filter for a zero-field resonance magnetometer project. Additionally, Iris served as a Transition Mentor at UCL from October 2020 to May 2021, offering academic and emotional support to first-year physics and astronomy students. Iris holds an MSci degree in Physics from UCL, which was completed in June 2021.
