Lilian de Martín

Scientist, Radartechnology at TNO

Lilian de Martín is a chemical engineering expert with extensive experience in academia and research. Currently a Scientist in Radartechnology at TNO since April 2019, Lilian successfully led a project to develop a low-cost receiver based on chaos theory, securing €80,000 in funding. Previously, as an Assistant Professor at Chalmers University of Technology from August 2016 to February 2019, Lilian obtained €300,000 in funding for an autonomous control system for energy plants and investigated dry coating mechanisms in pharmaceutical powders. Prior roles include Research Associate at UCL, where contributions included simulating pattern formation in pulsed granular flows, and a Postdoc researcher at TU Delft, leading to six publications within two years under an ERC grant. The academic journey began with dual PhDs in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2007-2010) and a Master's in Industrial Process Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
