Martijn Tros

Junior Scientist Innovator at TNO

Martijn Tros is a Junior Scientist Innovator at TNO since December 2022, previously serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Padova from April 2021 to December 2022. Martijn conducted research on pigment-protein complexes of photosynthesis during a PhD program at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from September 2015 to February 2021, utilizing advanced laser spectroscopy techniques such as two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. Earlier professional experience includes a role as a Secretary Employee at Open Universiteit from October 2010 to December 2013 and volunteer work as Fiscus for the student association SV Cyclades from November 2012 to November 2013. Martijn holds a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam and completed an Erasmus Programme Internship in Molecular Biophysics at Imperial College London.
