Kate McGinty is an experienced service designer currently serving as Principal Service Designer at Toast since September 2023. Previously, Kate held key roles at Best Buy, including Experience Design Lead for Customer Relationships, where the focus was on enhancing customer and employee experiences through omnichannel strategies, and Sr. UX Designer, overseeing customer-centered web experiences. Kate’s earlier experience includes directing content and user experience at Hanley Wood Marketing and roles in web editing and content management in various organizations. A graduate of Utica University with a B.S. in Journalism Studies, Kate brings a strong background in user-centered design, strategic planning, and team mentorship, having collaborated with cross-functional teams to drive impactful design solutions across multiple industries.
