Cristian MacArascu

Cristian Macarascu is an experienced Software Engineering Manager currently leading automotive software development at Xperi Inc. since March 2020, specializing in computer vision driver monitoring software and automotive software processes. Prior to this role, Cristian held various management positions at NXP and Freescale Semiconductor, overseeing software engineering teams for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and voice/data communication technologies. Cristian's early career included roles at Adobe Systems and the Bucharest University Printhouse, where strong skills in team management, project leadership, and software architecture were developed. Cristian holds two master's degrees in Automation and Computer Science and Databases and Systems from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, with a keen interest in matrix algebra, 3D geometry, image processing, and automotive software standards such as ISO26262 and SOTIF.
