David Hawkraven has a diverse work experience spanning a range of industries and roles. David started their career in 2007 at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where they served as a Business Analyst and later became the Founder and President of the First LGBTA Employee Resource Group. In 2010, after being laid off, they ventured into independent consulting, handling individual donor development and event management.

From 2013 to 2015, David worked as the Development Director for Advocates for World Health, focusing on collecting and redistributing medical surplus to save lives worldwide. Subsequently, they joined the Tampa Museum of Art as a Development Officer, contributing to the successful acquisition of substantial corporate sponsorships.

In 2016, David became the Development Director at Three Dollar Bill Cinema, where they played an instrumental role in securing sponsorships, expanding membership, and implementing innovative marketing campaigns. David continued their career in the non-profit sector as the Director of Business Development for ATLAS Workbase, a coworking space in Seattle, where they achieved significant growth in monthly subscription revenue and membership.

David then transitioned to Textline, a SaaS company, as a Business Development professional, focusing on channel partner programs and generating sales demand through marketing and field events. After leaving Textline, they embarked on a solo venture as the Owner of designedTravel, leveraging their extensive travel experience to help others explore the world.

Currently, David is working at Toca Boca as a Business Development Manager, creating partnerships that prioritize play for children and address the concerns of screen time. Their work experience reflects a strong background in business development, sales, fundraising, event management, and strategic planning across various sectors.

David Hawkraven attended New York University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration. Additionally, in 2008, they participated in the Summer Business Program at the University of California, Berkeley.
