Teressa Betty

Teressa Betty serves as the Managing Director of Whakakaha Consulting, leading efforts to strengthen organizational sustainability and resilience. As an Independent Director at Punakaiki and a B Corp Consultant with B Lab, Teressa contributes to fostering inclusive and regenerative economies. In addition, Teressa is a Mentor for the Next Directors Programme at INFINZ and an active Member of Global Women New Zealand. Teressa has held significant roles such as Chief Executive at Toitū Envirocare, focusing on carbon reduction, and formerly served as Vice President of the Aotearoa Women’s Surfing Association. Additionally, Teressa has experience in advisory roles at CarbonTrail and previously acted as Chief Operating Officer for Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa, where important frameworks for governance and sustainability were developed. Teressa holds qualifications as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and is an alumnus of Victoria University of Wellington.
