Sr. Electrical Engineer at Tokenize

Thanasis Gkourlias has been working in the electrical engineering industry since 2004. Thanasis began their career at Retrotech as an Electrical Engineer, where they implemented, designed, retrofitted, and troubleshot Automated Palletizing Systems. Thanasis then moved to Ultralife Corporation in 2006, where they held two positions: Sr. Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer. In their Sr. Electrical Engineer role, they designed, retrofitted and troubleshooted Li-Ion and LiMnO2 battery packs and chargers, using SMBus, HDQ and I2C communication protocols. In their Electrical Engineer role, they were awarded 3 million from NYSEG for proposing a large format back up system, and designed battery protection PCBs, charger and power supply PCBs. In 2012, they moved to SPX Corporation as a Sr. Electrical Engineer, where they designed, retrofitted and troubleshot crystal grower automation system controls, and provided technical support to installation crews, customers and sales. Most recently, they joined Token in 2022 as a Sr. Electrical Engineer.

Thanasis Gkourlias attended Monroe Community College from 1999 to 2001, where they earned an Associate in Engineering Science degree in Engineering Science. Thanasis then went on to Rochester Institute of Technology, where they obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering with a Computer Engineering Option between 2001 and 2004.
