Erica Du is a seasoned technology leader with expertise in artificial intelligence and software engineering. As Co-Founder and CTO of Toko since 2021, Erica has developed an innovative AI-powered language tutoring platform that enhances English learners' confidence and fluency. Previously, Erica served as a Blue Ridge Labs Fellow at Robin Hood, where co-founding and incubating a consumer fintech startup focused on solutions for low-income New Yorkers took place. Experience as a Visiting Researcher at Cornell Tech involved exploring algorithmic accountability and values-driven technology within the Digital Life Initiative. Additionally, Erica worked as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies and as a Software Engineer at Codecademy and Google. Erica holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master's of Engineering in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed the Y Combinator W22 program.
