Sr. Director, Technology Development at Tokyo Electron

Trace Hurd has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the technology industry. Trace started their career at Texas Instruments in 1989 as a Member of the Group Technical Staff. Trace served as a product engineer, focusing on liquid particle analysis and control and chemical filtration evaluation and supply to end users in the fab. In 1993, they became an IMEC Industry Affiliate at Texas Instruments, a role they held until 1996. Trace then joined Arch Chemicals in 1999 as a Technology Manager before moving to Texas Instruments/KFAB in 2000. At Texas Instruments/KFAB, they worked as a 65 nm Surface Prep Manager, leading an engineering team that delivered clean processes for FEOL and BEOL and introduced single wafer cleans to BEOL processing. In 2007, Trace joined ATMI as a Director of R&D, responsible for research and development activities. Trace'slast known position was at Tokyo Electron US, where they served as a Director of Product Technology and, most recently, as a Senior Director of Technology Development. However, the end dates for their roles at Tokyo Electron US are not provided.

Trace Hurd completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Southern Methodist University from 1985 to 1989. Later, from 1996 to 2005, they pursued a PhD in Chemistry from the University of North Texas.
