Amy Chen

Amy Chen has a diverse and extensive work experience. Amy has held several roles in different companies and industries.

Amy started their career in 2009 as an intern at various organizations such as Planet Finance China, Catalyst Inc., and the Council on Foreign Relations. This provided their with valuable research and corporate affairs experience.

In 2010, Amy joined Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as an associate, where they worked in private wealth management and focused on business development and asset management.

Amy then transitioned to a role at the NYC Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications as an Urban Fellow. During their fellowship, they worked with the agency's Chief Information and Innovation Officer.

In 2013, Amy became a Community Manager at the Urban Future Lab, a center for climate tech and smart city innovation in New York. Here, they engaged with stakeholders in clean technology and sustainability.

Amy continued their career in 2014 at NYC Media Lab as the Director of Entrepreneurship Programs. Amy led accelerator programs for early-stage startups, collaborating with top media and technology corporations.

In 2019, Amy joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as part of the Venture Capital Business Development team. Amy supported VC firms and their portfolio companies, connecting them to resources for growth and success.

Currently, Amy is the Director of Community at Tola Capital, a company that partners with founders to transform businesses through software. Amy brings their operational perspective and expertise in software revolution to drive the future of work.

Amy Chen has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from NYU Stern School of Business. Amy also holds a BA in Economics from Barnard College and another BA in Economics from Columbia University. Prior to their college education, they attended Scarsdale High School.
