Evgeny Ermakov

Evgeny Ermakov is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data engineering and management. Since April 2022, Evgeny has served as the Head of Data Platform at Toloka and has been a Course Headliner for the Data Engineer specialization course at Karpov.courses since September 2021. As a Scientific Researcher at Bauman Moscow State Technical University since November 2011, Evgeny conducts research in data analysis and large data warehouse construction while also mentoring students. Previous roles include leadership positions at Yandex.Taxi, where Evgeny significantly expanded the DWH team and implemented a Data Governance system, and at Mail.ru Group, where Evgeny established a DWH subdivision within the Data Science department. Evgeny's earlier career included roles at NovikomBank and GlowByte Consulting, where Evgeny led various teams and implemented critical data processes. Educational qualifications include a postgraduate degree in the operator method for estimating query execution time in parallel column databases and multiple degrees in information processing and control systems.
